Leading Others
Whether managing an internal team, leading an external project, or building a collaborative movement, self-awareness and confidence are paramount for motivating individuals and teams towards greater impact. Building off of the foundational skills in Section One, this section of the Playbook will help you develop collaborative approaches to problem solving and hone your skills as a leader of individuals and teams.
Start SectionDefine shared values
Collaborative leaders define shared values at the beginning of a project and then promote these values along the way, resulting in meaningful outcomes. Learn how to set the right tone from the onset of a project, which will help to lay a strong foundation for the project. Later, when challenges or unknowns arise, your team’s shared values will guide you.
Consider establishing a team charter. Team charters help define the purpose of the team, how it will work, and the expected outcomes.
