Commit to Innovation

Don’t get caught up in seeing innovation as some magical process achieved only by exceptional individuals or teams. Innovation may not be simple or predictable, but there are processes you can establish to create the right structure for innovation to flourish.

On each project, aim to spend 10% of your time and energy on trying to iterate, create, or improve an aspect of your work. The percentage of time will differ based on the maturity of your organization – it should be much higher for early stage organizations.
