One of the least talked about skills of leadership is the ability to develop others. The development of individuals is hard work and takes time, but people are your key asset in making change. The most current thinking on effective professional development centers on a continuous cycle that includes both formal experiences (classroom and online courses) and informal experiences, such as collaboration, coaching, feedback, and access to knowledge.
